Firstly, you need to contact us to find out if your wheelchair accessible is of interest to us and matches our stock profile. You can contact us by either calling us, email us or complete our online form on our website.
What do need to bring when I sell you my Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle.
My Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle has a personalised number plate.
If your vehicle has your own personalised number plate on it and you would like to retain the number plate to use on another vehicle then it needs to be removed. To do this you need to complete the DVLA online application.

Ideally, you should do this prior to selling us your car but we are happy to help you complete the online application with you. DVLA charge £80 to retain the personalised registration number but this does include the assignment fee for when you transfer it to another vehicle. If you are still waiting for the updated vehicle registration document V5 to arrive when you come to sell us your vehicle, we will withhold £500 of the purchase price as a deposit. We do this as a safeguard that people supply us with the new V5 registration documents as soon as possible because without the V5 registration document we are unable to sell the car. Once the new registration document has been supplied to us, we will refund the £500 deposit.
Notifying DVLA you have sold your Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle.
It is very important that when you sell a vehicle that DVLA are notified. If you sell your vehicle to us with your consent, we will inform DVLA via their online portal that the vehicle has been transferred to us and that you are no longer the owner. We will provide you with printed confirmation that this has been done and you will also receive a letter from DVLA to confirm this along with a refund for any full months of unused road tax. According to the DVLA website, you will receive this within 4 – 6 weeks.
My car is an insurance write off would you still buy it?
Sorry no, we do not buy vehicles that are category S (formerly Category C) or Category N (formerly Category D) insurance write-offs. We HPi check every vehicle we purchase.
